Olipop

Artisan Soda Fountain

The Story

You push through the heavy glass door of Olipop's corner fountain and the air hits you, bright citrus and ginger steaming from copper kettles behind the marble counter, mingling with the smell of crushed ice and candied botanicals cooling on metal racks. The young soda jerk, sleeves rolled above her elbows, operates the fountain with practiced grace, pulling levers that release fizz into hand-spun glasses while glancing at the laminated flavor cards: Strawberry Lemonade, Ginger Jalapeño, Classic Cola, each one made from actual plant extracts simmering in labeled glass jars on open shelves. The carbonation hisses and settles as she slides your drink across the worn wooden counter, condensation beading on the glass, and you taste something genuinely different, complex, alive, nothing like the syrupy uniformity you find at chain drugstores.

Visual Details

The chrome taps and chalkboard menu strip away Olipop's wellness packaging to show what the brand actually is: a soda that tastes good because someone cared about the formula, not because it's good for you. Vintage soda fountains were places where flavor mattered more than function; putting Olipop there says the brand trusts taste over health claims.

Prebiotic soda as an artisan fountain. The soda fountain part fits; the gut health pitch does not.
